Philippi & Co. mit Niederlassungen in Beira, Umtali, Salisbury, Mozambique, Quelimane, Ibo, Parapato in Ost- und Südafrika. Gesellschafter waren zunächst die Herren August Duncker, Heinrich Hansing, Ferdinand Ottens und William Philippi; 1913 traten neben anderen die Bankhäuser M. M. Warburg & Co. und J. Magnus & Co. hinzu. Die politischen Verhältnisse nach dem 1. und im 2. Weltkrieg beraubten die Gesellschaft fast ihres gesamten Vermögens und brachten die Aktivitäten zum Erliegen, so daß sie 1936 in stille Liquidation trat. Bemerkenswerterweise gelang in den 60er Jahren noch der Verkauf der Grundstücke in Beira in der damals noch portugiesischen Kolonie Mozambique. 1972 wird die Gesellschaft nach Beendigung der Liquidation im Handelsregister gelöscht. | | Specials: | Sehr schöne Umrahmung im Historismus-Stil. | | Availability: | Extrem seltenener Kolonialtitel. | | Condition: | Doppelblatt, mit Kupons.
