Broadway, die Hauptstrasse von New York, 20 km lang, durchschneidet das moderne Strassennetz schräg, er beginnt am Hafen und durchquert das Wolkenkratzerviertel von Wall Street. Die Strecke der Pferdebahn führte von Union Square durch University Place unterhalb der 14ten Strasse. Um die Jahrhundertwende betrug die Streckenlänge 17,13 Meilen, davon 6,63 Meilen elektrifiziert und 10,50 Meilen Pferdebetrieb.
