(mit der die Bahn 1908 eine Tochter der Burlington Route wurde). Im Laufe der Zeit wuchs das Netz auf über 1.000 Meilen an, ab 1925 fuhren bis Houston durchgehende Personenzüge, berühmt war vor allem der Texas Zephyr von Dallas nach Denver. 1970 fusionierte der Großaktionär Chicago, Burlington & Quincy mit der Great Northern und der Northern Pacific zur Burlington Northern, die auch diese Bahn 1981 absorbierte.
