Die Gesellschaft diente primär dazu, die finanziellen Erträge aus seinen zahlreichen Erfindungen durch Lizenzvergabe und den Verkauf von Patenten im In- und Ausland zu maximieren. Aus seiner Leipziger Werkzeugmaschinenfabrik AG schied Wilhelm Pittler 1902 aus, um sich seiner Erfindertätigkeit zu widmen, wobei er seine Patente besonders erfolgreich in England und Belgien vermarktete.
