Klingmann und dem Maschinisten Robert Meckelmann und legte in Malimba am Ufer des Bungo eine Faktorei an. Die zweite, ebenfalls sehr erfolgreiche Expedition erfolgte unter Leitung des Direktors H. Jaeger. Auf dem neuerworbenen Land wurde eine größere Hauptfaktorei errichtet. Das Geschäft richtete sich auf den Handel mit Kautschuk, Palmöl, Kopal, Elfenbein.
