Über die schon zum Konzern gehörende "Braunkohlen- und Brikettwerke Roddergrube AG" erwarb das RWE Ende 1932 die Aktienmehrheit. 1959 mit der Braunkohlen- und Briketwerke Roddergrube AG in Brühl und der Braunkohlen-Industrie-AG “Zukunft” in Eschweiler zur “Rheinische Braunkohlenwerke AG” verschmolzen. Noch heute ist die Rheinbraun eine bedeutende RWE-Tochter. Wegen des erbitterten politschen Streits um den Tagebau Garzweiler Ende der 90er Jahre oft in den Schlagzeilen gewesen. | | Specials: | Sehr dekorative ornamentale Zierumrandung.
