Der Textilindustrielle und Besitzer der Forchheimer Weberei "Weber & Ott" Heinrich Hornschuh übernahm die Spinnerei und führte sie mit knapp 500 Mitarbeitern als GmbH weiter. 1936 wurde die Herstellung von Cordzwirnen und Cordgeweben für die Reifenindustrie als neuer Produktionszweig aufgenommen. Über ein Jahrhundert war die Spinnerei der wichtigste Arbeitgeber der Stadt Forchheim, ehe der Betrieb 1995 stillgelegt wurde, gefolgt 1999 vom Konkurs.
