Auf der Hohen Geba wurde 1897 das “erste Bauwerk” vom Vorgänger des Rhönclub-Zweigvereins Geba errichtet. 1901 wurde die Wanderhütte von dem Rhönclub neu gebaut, 1925 erheblich erweitert und ab 1932 ständig bewirtschaftet. 1962 rückte eine mobile Radreinheit der sowjetischen Streitkräfte hier ein und den westlichen Luftraum zu überwachen (1992 abgezogen). | | Specials: | Unverzinsliches und unkündbares Darlehen, Rückzahlung erfolgt durch Verlosung ab 1903.
