Als Katgut wird das Nähmaterial aus Schafdärmen zur Herstellung von Nähten im Körpergewebe bezeichnet. In der Inflationszeit geriet die Gesellschaft in finanzielle Schwierigkeiten. Die mit Verlust arbeitende Verbandstoffabteilung wurde geschlossen. 1933 Umfirmierung in Süddeutsche Katgut AG. Das Unternehmen wurde später mit der R. Graf & Co.
