Ab 1928 Ara Quarzitwerke Altrandsberg. Die Gesellschaft besaß ein Quarzitwerk an der Bahnlinie Straubing-Cham-Fürth, hergestellt wurden Fußbodenplatten sowie Bahn- und Straßenschotter. 1976 wurde die Produktion eingestellt. Die ARA-Kunst gründeten im Jahr 1966 Dr. Fritz Albrecht und seine Frau Liselotte. Der jetzige Inhaber Fritz Albrecht stieg 1976 nach seinem Wirtschaftsstudium in den USA in die Firma ein, verbesserte die Abgusstechniken undbegann mit Bronzeguss. Für den Bad Kötztinger Kurpark fertigte das Unternehmen den Bronzeguss “Raubvogel” von Prof. Paul Wunderlich.
