Schon 1872 hatte man die Elyria & Black River RR mit ihrer Strecke Uhrichsville-Lorain hinzuerworben, zugleich plante man die Verlängerung von Uhrichsville nach Washington Township im Harrison County. Mitte 1874 unter den Schulden von 2,2 Mio. $ zusammengebrochen, Anfang 1875 für 1 Mio. $ verkauft an die Cleveland, Tuscarawas Valley & Wheeling Ry.
