Für den Wiederaufbau baute das Militär eine 14,5 km lange 60-mm Schmalspurbahn von Wernshausen nach Brotterode, eröffnet 1896 und nach Abschluß der Wiederaufbauarbeiten in Brotterode ein Jahr später wieder abgebaut. Auf der Trasse im unteren Abschnitt dann Neubau der Bahn durch die Trusebahn-AG. 1938 Umwandlung in einen Regiebetrieb der Herrschaft Schmalkalden, die AG erlosch 1941. | | Specials: | Ausgestellt auf den Kreis Herrschaft Schmalkalden.
