Der besondere “Großalmeroder Glashafen- und Osmoseton” wurde zu Schamottesteinen und Feuerleichtsteinen verarbeitet, außerdem Herstellung kompletter Glasschmelzhäfen für die Glasindustrie und von Industrieöfen für die Emailleindustrie. 1980 Umfirmierung in VGT AG. 1990 ging das operative Geschäft auf die VGT Industriekeramik GmbH über, 1999 Augliederung der Feuerfestsparte. Seitdem als “VGT Industrie AG” Beteiligungsholding für mehr als 20 Unternehmen in den Bereichen Industriekeramik, Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (u.a.
