Herstellung von Flachmaschinen, ab 1889 auch von Strumpfwirkmaschinen, Strickmaschinen und Fahrrädern in den vier Chemnitzer Werken Lothringer Straße, Fürstenstraße, Zwickauer Straße und Scheffelstraße. Das Zweigwerk in Hohenstein-Ernstthal, das ebenfalls Flachwirkmaschinen produzierte, wurde 1930 stillgelegt. 1938 Übernahme der Aktienmehrheit der "Deutsche Spinnereimaschinenbau AG" in Ingolstadt, was sich im Nachhinein als Garant für’s Überleben herausstellen sollte. 1946 vom Land Sachsen enteignet.
