Ab 1894 elektrischer Betrieb auf den 4 meterspurigen Linien mit einer Gesamtlänge von 18 km. Im Mai 1938 umbenannt in Erfurter Verkehrs-AG. Ab 1951 als VEB Erfurter Verkehrsbetriebe (EVB) geführt, nach der Wende ab April 1990 die Erfurter Verkehrsbetriebe AG (EVAG).
