Picture: Number: 1007 Info: Gegründet 1881 als Nachfolger der Orange & Alexandria RR (gegr. 1848) und der Manassas Gap RR (gegr. 1850). Die Hauptstrecke Alexandria-Danville, Va. war 233 Meilen lang, dazu kamen die Abzweigungen nach Strasburg, Harrisburg, Front Royal und Gordonsville, zudem waren die Charlottsville & Rapidan RR und die Franklin & Pittsylvania Narrow-Gauge RR gepachtet. Das machte ein insgesamt 412 Meilen umfassendes Netz. Gehörte dann zur Southern Ry. Specials: Braun/schwarzer ABNC-Stahlstich, wunderschöne große Vignette mit Personenzug auf einer Brücke, im Vordergrund wird eine Rinderherde im Fluß getränkt, im Hintergrund die imposanten Blue Ridge Mountains.
