Mit 375 Angestellten im Jahre 1880 war die Firma zum größten Arbeitergeber der Stadt Bristol avanciert. Ab ca. 1890 produzierte sie Beleuchtung für die Eisenbahnwaggons, Silberbesteck etc. Im Ersten Weltkrieg Herstellung von Kriegsmaterial, u.a. Kanonengeschosse, Gewehrkugeln, Schiffspanzerung. 1918 wurden bereits 1000 Arbeiter beschäftigt. Nach Umstellung auf die Friedensproduktion baute sie Zubehör für die Automobilindustrie.
