Starting price: 300,00 EUR Issuing- date: 07.08.1875 Issuing- place: New York Picture: Number: 39 Info: Die erste Bahn, die das durch den neu gebauten Hudson and Delaware Canal aufstrebende Port Jervis erreichen sollte, war die 1832 konzessionierte New York & Erie RR (die spätere Erie RR), doch nach einer Finanzpanik konnte der 1835 begonnene Bahnbau erst 1851 vollendet werden. Als zweite kam die (1875 reorganisierte) Port Jervis & Monticello RR, eröffnet 1868 und nach Norden führend mit Ziel Kingston, N.Y. und Weehawken, N.J. 1895 verpachtet an die New York, Ontario & Western Ry., die erst 1957 stillgelegt wurde.
