Goerz, die 1903 in eine AG umgewandelt wurde. 1926 Fusion mit der Ica AG und der Ernemann-Werke AG (beide Dresden) sowie der Contessa-Nettel AG (Stuttgart) zur "Zeiss-Ikon AG". 1927 Fusion mit der AG Hahn für Optik und Mechanik in Kassel. 1932/33 Erwerb der Aktienmehrheit der Nitzsche AG Kinematographen und Filme, Leipzig. 1935/36 Beteiligung bei der Fernseh AG, Berlin. 1945 wurden sämtliche Werke in Berlin und Dresden demontiert, deshalb 1948 Sitzverlegung nach Stuttgart. 1948 Gründung des Zweigwerks Kiel zur Produktion von Kinomaschinen. 1949 Wiederaufnahme der Fertigung der Goerz-Buchungsmaschinen in Berlin-Friedenau. Ende der 50er Jahre zusammen mit der holländischen Gevaert Einstieg in das Amateurfilm-Geschäft und Einführung des Ikolor-Farbumkehrfilms. 1965/70 Fusion mit der Voigtländer AG in Braunschweig. 1973 Sitzverlegung nach Berlin. 1990 Umfirmierung in IKON AG nach Übernahme durch die finnische Oy Abloy Security Ltd. und Ausstieg aus dem traditionsreichen optischen Produktionsprogramm.
