Bereits Ende 1869 flog die Fabrik in die Luft - ein Schicksal, das ihr trotz diverser Ortswechsel u.a. nach Berkeley noch mehrfach blühte, bis sie 1892 in Point Pinole an der San Pablo Bay ihren endgültigen Standort fand. Dieser bis dahin völlig abgelegene, überwiegend von kroatischen Auswanderern bevölkerte Ort entwickelte sich bald zu einem industriellen Zentrum an der North Bay.
