Noch 1862 versuchte man, die AG durch Ausgabe von Prioritäts-Stamm-Actien am Leben zu halten, aber ohne dauernden Erfolg. Im Gebiet von Bromberg, weit nördlich der reichen schlesischen und polnischen Steinkohlenvorkommen gelegen, treten recht häufig Braunkohlenlager auf, deren Ausbeute allerdings nie große Bedeutung erlangte. Um 1910 waren noch in Betrieb die Gruben “Moltke” in Crone a. d.
