place: | Prag | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 42372 | | Info: | Nach der Gründung der Tschechoslowakischen Republik 1918 wurde die Österreichisch-Ungarische Bank durch das Bankamt des neugeschaffenen tschechoslowakischen Finanzministeriums ersetzt.Den Plan zur Gründung einer Nationalbank faßte man 1920, doch änderte man 1925 noch einmal die Gesetzbestimmungen, bevor 1926 die NBC gegründet wurde. Der NBC gelang die Stabilisierung der Währung durch die Einführung der Goldwährung. 1939 umbenannt in Nationalbank für Böhmen und Mähren. Mit der 1953 durchgeführten Währungsreform und Reorganisation der Bank nach dem Muster der Staatsbank der UdSSR wurde auch eine Umbenennung der Bank vollzogen.
