Info:Gründung 1907 durch Fusion der Badische Munitionsfabrik GmbH mit Werken in Karlsruhe-Durlach und Wolfartsweier und der oHG in Firma Gustav Genschow & Co. in Berlin und Köln (gegr. 1888 als Waffengroßhandlung mit Ex- und Importgeschäft). Auf dem Gebiet der Jagd- und Sportmunition wurde Genschow nach Übernahme des Munitionsgeschäftes von Köln-Rottweil der größte Konkurrent der Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff AG in Köln (Gruppe Dynamit-Nobel / I.G.Farben). Einen sonst unausweichlichen Kampf vermied man durch Abschluß eines I.G.-Vertrages 1927, der 1931 auf die Dynamit-AG vorm. A. Nobel & Co. in Hamburg überging. Ab 1938 konnten die in Berlin und Hamburg börsennotierten Genschow-Aktien 5:2 in I.G.-Farben-Aktien umgetauscht werden. Das gesamte Vermögen wurde wegen Zugehörigkeit zum I.G.-Farben-Konzern durch alliiertes Kontrollratsgesetz Nr. 9 vom 30.11.1945 beschlagnahmt. 1951 kamen die Munitions- und Schrotfabrik Karlsruhe-Durlach und die Lederwarenfabrik Altstadt-Hachenburg wieder in Gang, 1953 Entlassung aus der alliierten Kontrolle und Auflösung des I.G.-Vertrages mit der Dynamit-AG vorm. Alfred Nobel & Co. in Troisdorf, die aber mit zuletzt 94 % Hauptaktionär blieb. 1960 Umwandlung in eine GmbH.
