Den 1920-24 gebauten La Fayette hatte D. McCall White konstruiert, der vorher schon den Cadillac V-8 entworfen hatte. Der Wagen war teuer, aber auch zuverlässig und hervorragend verarbeitet. “Für die Markteinführung eines neuen Wagens hat es schon weit bessere Zeiten gegeben”, bemerkte Charles Nash, und kurz darauf stellte Lafayette die Produktion ein.
