Sowohl der Mount Sherman wie auch der Mount Sheridan sahen Ende des 19. Jh. eine große Zahl von Bergwerken auf Silber- und Zinkerze. Heute ist die Gegend äußerst beliebt bei Mountainbikern, allerdings warnt die Beschreibung eines an den Überresten der Dauntless-Mine vorbeiführenden Trails ausdrücklich: “They look really cool, but stay out of them!
